The Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation is now accepting cryptocurrency donations under a partnership with Atlanta-based Bitpay.
The university decided to accept cryptocurrency donations following donor requests and to increase engagement with younger donors, the Foundation said in a statement.
“The decision to accept cryptocurrency shows our commitment to continuing to advance our mission in an ever-changing world and financial landscape,” Foundation chair Chad Heberly said.
“This move supports our ongoing efforts to engage with younger donors, who operate in a more digital capacity than previous generations of supporters.”
Bitpay accepts donations in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, Gemini Dollar, USD Coin, USDP Stablecoin, Dai and Binance USD.
