MEW (MyEtherWallet), the leading platform to access the best of the Ethereum ecosystem, announced MoonPay, the crypto payments infrastructure company, to offer an additional fiat on-ramp for users while also introducing a fiat off-ramp that gives MEW users new accessibility in and out of the Ethereum ecosystem.
MoonPay Inc. is a leading crypto payments infrastructure provider, offering the fastest way to buy and sell crypto securely. MoonPay is trusted by more than 250 leading cryptocurrency, digital asset and blockchain technology companies and has processed more than $2 billion in transactions to date.
This partnership between MEW and MoonPay significantly reduces the barriers of access and builds trust in entering the Ethereum markets by allowing users to conveniently enter and exit from crypto to fiat seamlessly. MEW users will be able to use credit cards, debit cards and Apple Pay to make crypto purchases inside the platform.
MoonPay Co-Founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright, said: “MoonPay’s mission is to simplify fiat-to-crypto transactions so that more people can have access to this remarkable technology. Partnering with MEW introduces our services to both seasoned users and newcomers to crypto.”
Kosala Hemachandra, CEO and Founder of MEW, said: “We are always looking for ways to improve user experience at MEW, from new products and interface enhancements to asking ourselves how to make accessing the value of Ethereum easier. MoonPay allows us to empower new users to feel more confident exploring Ethereum, knowing they can easily exit to fiat whenever they want.”
This is a timely partnership given the surge in interest and usage from retail users of Ethereum, NFTs and the Web3 solutions built on the blockchain. Since 2015, MEW has been an integral part of the Ethereum ecosystem and the leading wallet interface, providing free, open-source, and secure access to the Ethereum blockchain for anyone.
